Fairfield Women’s Health Service offers a broad range of client centred, evidence based, primary and preventative health care services and programs, which aim to improve the health and wellbeing of women residing in Fairfield Local Government Area with a primary focus on migrant and refugee women as well as those experiencing disadvantage.
Fairfield Women’s Health Service provides access to qualified and professional practitioners such as a nurse practitioners, bilingual trauma informed counsellors, Caseworkers, Dieticians, as well as a variety of free groups and activities that promote good health and well-being.
We offer counselling and casework in a variety of languages including Arabic, English, Khmer and Vietnamese on a range of issues which effect women’s health and wellbeing, such as domestic violence, trauma, grief and loss, family issues, and parenting, housing, legal information, advocacy and information.
The clinical nurse service includes cervical screening, pelvic examinations, breast examinations, counselling and education/information programs for women about contraception, menopause, sexually transmitted infections, post-natal checks and other women’s health related matters.
Fairfield Women’s Health Services are provided at no cost to eligible women.
